Bodegas Carrau Vivent Fortified 2011
In Spain in 1752, a fisherman started a family winery and more than 250 years later the family tradition of winemaking continues in Uruguay. Bodegas Carrau has two different vineyards, one in Cerro Chapeu in the north and Las Violetas in the south. Carrau is a leader in the region who established the first gravity-fed winery in South America, practice sustainable farming techniques and currently conducting DNA research on Uruguay’s signature grape, Tannat.
